Stair Challenge Information

March 1st - March 26th, 2010

Dates
o Sign up by February 26th
o Team Leaders submit weekly total every Friday (March 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th)
o Winners announced every Monday: (March 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th)
o Grand Prize winner announced March 31st

Teams
o 2-10 members
o Open to all URMC staff, students, and volunteers

Register
o By February 26th at 4:00pm
o Pick a team name and a team leader (someone with email access!)
o USE THE REGISTRATION FORM ON THIS BLOG WEBSITE
o OR using our paper registration form which can be picked up in the Food and Nutrition Services Office (across from the House of Six Nations Cafeteria)

Points
o Counting:
- Count the number of floors climbed each day for each team member.
Ex. taking the stairs from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor = 2 floors
- Climb up or down the stairs
- Only stairs at work count
o Team Members: report your individual weekly total number of floors to your team leader.
o Team Leaders: compile all team members’ individual weekly totals and report the team’s total using the electronic form. Once you receive the form via e-mail, complete the form and click submit to send your totals to us!

Prizes
o Weekly winner will be based on each team’s average number of floors per person.
- In the electronic tally form, teams can also nominate a “shining star” each week to recognize outstanding team members.
o Overall winners will be the team that climbs the most stairs and the most improved team.
